Vicente Vazquez
Managing Director Nzyme
Vicente is a Managing Director at Nzyme. He is currently transitioning from his role as a Partner at Oliver Wyman in the Private Capital practice. He has been based in Madrid since 2011 and has almost 20 years of experience. He has advised some of the most demanding Private Equity sponsors and other clients at the intersection of Strategy, Operations and Transaction execution. Before entering Strategy Consulting, Vicente worked as a Vice President in Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Investments and Corporate Development team in London, as well as at BBVA, JPMorgan and in Broadnet as door-to-door salesman.
During his previous positions he supported numerous clients on the buy as well as on the sales side where he led teams in over 50 processes. His support has ranged from leading the whole buy-side effort (incl. modelling and contract negotiation), to focusing on assessing key value levers. He advised his clients on the way to maximize value when disposing of assets. This ranges from designing the transactions and advising Boards on the go/no-go (e.g., several Banks); running sale processes end-to-end (e.g., photovoltaic power plants portfolio); or crafting compelling stories so that potential buyers appreciate the potential of the business and bid up accordingly. Additionally, he consulted management and shareholders jointly in their value creation plans and their execution.
He is a CFA charter holder, a member of the Madrid Bar, holds a Masters in Finance from the London Business School, and holds degrees in Business and in Law (E-3) from ICADE.
Vicente loves skiing and sailing. He is also very curious and an avid learner. In the last few years, he has started playing the piano (from absolute 0), windsurfing, and started skating with his kids. His next challenge: grasping Gödel´s theorem!
